YouTube Hacked July 2010

July 4 2010, YouTube was hacked by members of internet groups 4chan and other computer whizzes. Justin Bieber, one of the biggest pop sensations at the present time, was unfortunately on the receiving end of this. Using a variety of videos the hacking was able to take place.
According to Samuel Axon at Mashable, several complaints have been made on social networking site Twitter, and concerned users posted comments on Google’s forum. The internet group 4chan have had what seems to be disagreements with Justin Bieber, and only last week, were conspiring to try and send Bieber to North Korea. Using a bug that can allow users to inject HTML (this is a code that websites are built with), 4chan were able to implement messages on the site stating that it had been hacked, and instead of fans being able to look at Bieber video pages, they were diverted to sites of pornography and malware

Sex.com is considerd as the most valuble domain name in the world.
The move is being taken on the back of an agreement between domain broker, Sedo, and Escom, LLC. The deal also includes two related trademark registrations with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Descriptive domains that define a category historically have been the most valuable properties on the Web.

‘Sex’ continues to be one of the most searched for terms on the Web and its mainstream appeal has grown exponentially over the past few years.

The new owner of this domain could enjoy a clear competitive advantage as a market leader, dramatically enhanced organic search rankings, tremendous traffic generated from direct navigation and an unsurpassed ability to drive online marketing and branding initiatives.

“It is an extremely rare opportunity that a domain name of this caliber becomes available for sale. Short, descriptive domains are an amazing marketing vehicle,” said said Kathy Nielsen, Director of Sales at Sedo.

“The sale of sex.com presents potential buyers with a once in a lifetime opportunity. The possibilities for this domain are endless and will enable the new owner to instantly define itself as a leader in its industry.”
